Carbon Steel BS1387 pipes are made of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and iron, which gives it a balance between strength and flexibility. The usual chemical composition has about 0.30% carbon, while the manganese varies between 0.60-1.65%. These pipes have excellent mechanical properties, with tensile strength ranging from 410 to 530 MPa and yield strength around 205 MPa.
