Carbon Steel F48 Forged Fittings consist primarily of carbon, manganese, silicon, and trace amounts of other materials like sulfur and phosphorus. Carbon content ranges from 0.18% to 0.30% typically, conferring strength and hardness. The fittings possess high mechanical properties like high tensile strength (485 MPa maximum,) yield strength (250 MPa max.), and good ductility. Having a hardness of 140-180 HB, they provide excellent wear and corrosion resistance.
