BIRNAR 450 sheets and plates are produced with high-carbon steel having composition 0.60-0.90% carbon, 1.50-2.50% manganese, and minima of silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus. Its properties are hardness ranging from 450 HB, tensile strength from 900 to 1100 MPa, and yield strength of 700 MPa. The material exhibits superior wear resistance, impact toughness, and wear resistance.
